Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and State of Emergency, on March 12, 2020, Governor Baker issued an Executive Order Temporarily Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A sec. 20. Pursuant to the Order, public bodies are temporarily relieved from the Open Meeting Law's requirement that meetings be held in public places, open and physically accessible to the public, so long as measures are taken to ensure public access to the bodies' deliberations "through adequate, alternative means." This meeting will be held and will be accessible to the public via Brockton Community Access, Brockton Public Schools website, www.bpsma.org , YouTube and Comcast channel 12 BHS Scholarships: Deadline Extended The BHS Scholarship Program deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 30, 2020. For Scholarships #1-22, students must apply online and send the financial statement and essay to: Brockton Public Schools Scholarship Program C/O Juli Caldwell 43 Crescent St. Brockton, MA. 02301 Please note that transcripts can be accessed by the School Department, so for Scholarships #1-22, it is not necessary to include this in your mailing. For the Private Scholarships, please mail the required applications and other documents to the address listed in the book on the particular page of the Scholarship. If a transcript is needed, please email your guidance counselor and the counselor will send you the transcript electronically. The only scholarship that is not extended is the Education First scholarship as the original deadline was March 13, 2020.
